"Bernie sorted out a slipped disc that two other practitioners had given up on. Gentle the whole way, explained every step, and I am back to walking the dog without bracing for the next twinge."Slipped Disc Recovery · Google Review
Bernie Connolly has been adjusting Caboolture spines for 33 years. The team uses the Activator Method and SOT, so the work is precise, low force, and quiet. No twisting. No cracking. Just slow, steady relief.
Dr Bernard "Bernie" Connolly graduated from RMIT in 1992. He opened Coast Chiropractic on Annie Street the next year, bought the practice outright in 1997, and has been here ever since. Three decades on the bench. Most of Caboolture has been through this room at some point.
The reason the reviews keep using the word "gentle" is the technique. Bernie trained early in the Activator Method and Sacro Occipital Technique. Both are precise, low force, and finish without any of the dramatic cracking people associate with chiropractic. If a manual adjustment is the right call he will tell you. Most days, it is not.
A second set of eyes on your spine, your nervous system, and the way you carry the day.
New patients get a long first appointment. Time to talk through the history, look at posture, and explain what is actually going on before anything is adjusted. Bernie works alongside the team here, so once you are settled in you are looked after, not rushed through.
A lot of people put off seeing a chiropractor because the sound effects scare them. The work here looks and feels nothing like that. Four things we do differently.
An hour, not ten minutes. We take a proper history, look at posture, and only adjust once we know what is actually going on.
A small handheld instrument delivers a precise, low force impulse to one vertebra at a time. Faster than a manual thrust, but much quieter. No cracking sound.
Soft wedge blocks placed under the pelvis let your own body weight slowly correct alignment. About as gentle as chiropractic gets. Often used in pregnancy and with kids.
We work in courses, not single magic visits. You will know what each appointment is for and when you should start feeling the difference.
Five conditions make up the bulk of the work. If you are not sure your problem fits, ring through and ask. Bernie will say so if it is something better seen elsewhere.
The flagship case. A careful, multi visit plan to settle a bulging or herniated disc without pushing it the wrong way.
Acute strain, long term ache, or the kind that flares up every six months. We sort the cause, not just the symptom.
Desk neck, sleep neck, post crash neck. Gentle mobilisation and soft tissue work alongside the adjustment.
A surprising number of tension headaches trace back to the upper neck. We work that area carefully and watch the pattern shift.
Footy season, weekend warriors, junior athletes. Quick assessment, sensible return to play, no over treatment.

"I was nervous about chiropractic because of the cracking. There is none of that here. The treatment is quiet, careful, and Bernie actually listens. The front desk team know your name by the second visit."Gentle Approach · Google Review
"Three generations of our family see Bernie. He has looked after my back, my wife's pregnancy, and now the kids when they tumble off the trampoline. Genuine, kind, and the whole family trusts him."Family Care · Google Review
The practice sits in a quiet weatherboard cottage on Annie Street, two blocks back from the main road. Off street parking out the front, level access at the door, and you are not going to walk into a clinical chrome reception.
First visits run about an hour. Wear something you can move in. Bring any scans or imaging you have. If you do not, we will work without them.
